On line registration and abstract submission
FINAL DEADLINE EXTENSION. Take advantage of the reduced early bird conference registration rates by registering before or on June 29th, 2023. Late registration fees apply after June 29th, 2023.
Welcome and on-site registration of the participants to SP 8 conference will take place on Monday September 11th afternoon. Afterwards, opening session of SP 8 will consist of plenary lectures followed by a convivial welcome reception. The SP 8 meeting will take place till September 15th (noon).
No abstracts will be accepted that include presenting authors who do not register to attend the SP 8 Meeting. Please be aware that registered authors can submit up to TWO abstracts as presenting author. Additional abstracts submitted by the same presenting author will be charged with an additional fee of 40 EUR per supplementary abstract.
The SP 8 thematic school for PhD students and young researchers will be held on Monday September 11st 2023.
Steps to register and participate to SP 8
- The SP 8 registration platform is prepared for online invoice emission. The correct accounting data should be fulfilled in the SP 8 registration platform (especially the name of the legal organization receiving the invoice) in order to avoid possible errors during the invoice emission process.
- After registering, you will receive an e-mail from SP 8 confirming your registration. If you do not receive any confirmation e-mail within two days, please contact us.
- If you choose a payment by credit card, you will receive an e-mail from SP 8 confirming your payment. If you do not receive any payment confirmation within two days, please contact us.
- Whatever the payment mode, SP 8 will send you the corresponding invoice by regular mail. If you do not receive any invoice within three weeks at the latest, please contact us.
- Please comply with the payment deadline and avoid payments on site at the conference desk. Payment is mandatory before the opening of the meeting. If you expect unusual delays in the payment

* Master or PhD students must justify their status by uploading the copy of their student card, a scholarship certificate or a confirmation letter by their supervisor.
** Each corresponding author is entitled to submit up to TWO abstracts for the fees shown above. An extra charge will be applied for submitting more than TWO abstracts.
The Regular and the Master/PhD student registration fee to SP 8 includes:
- Opening plenary lectures and welcome reception on September 11st, attendance to SP 8 sessions on September 12th to September 15th (noon), coffee breaks (September 12-15), cocktails, three lunches (September 12-15)
- Conference proceedings and related working materials
The registration fee to SP 8 Thematic school includes:
- Attendance to lectures on September 11st, coffee break and lunch
- Working materials

Payment
All fees for the registration to SP 8 should be paid in EUR (€). VAT is included in all fees. In case payment is made via bank transfer, please note that we must receive the full amount clear of all bank charges.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
Any cancellation or modification must be notified to the organizing committee in writing (by regular mail or e-mail) to m.oswald@unistra.fr. Only cancellations or modifications received until June 16th 2023 (included) will be taken into account as a basis for reimbursement. Cancellations received after June 16th 2023, or absence from the SP 8 meeting will not make one eligible for any reimbursement.
